Lynda Carter


Best known for her television role as Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter portrayed a character whose strength and power was considered a "breakthrough" for women in the early 1970s. She continues to be a role model for women of all ages and is deeply involved in causes that benefit women and children. Ms. Carter is a supporter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research, a founding member of the National Race for the Cure, and is actively involved in helping kids reach their full potential through her support of Children in the Arts, Special Olympics and the National Rehabilitation Hospital. In her uplifting and candid presentation, Ms. Carter shows how one’s dreams can become reality through perseverance and determination and how, through service to others, life can be more fulfilling. Cater embarked on “The New Original Wonder Woman” series in 1975 and on the “Wonder Woman” series in 1976, followed by “The New Adventures of Wonder Woman” in 1977.
