Amy Grant is a successful pop star and one of the most influential singers in contemporary Christian music. She released her self-titled debut album at age 15, and, in 1978, at age 17, she signed her first record deal with the Myrrh label and has since made her mark on the world at large. In 1982, she became a bona fide gospel singer after the release of her acclaimed album “Age to Age,” for which she won a Grammy Award for Best Female Gospel Performance. Grant released her 12th album, “Heart in Motion” in 1991, which went multi-platinum and elevated Grant to a pop stardom. All in all, Grant has sold a total of 22 million records, including one quintuple platinum record, “Heart in Motion,” one triple platinum, “Home for Christmas,” and one double-platinum album, “House of Love,” as well as six additional platinum and three gold album releases. As one of Word Records’ premiere artists, she has pioneered the path for contemporary Christian music, winning 20 Dove Awards, the highest honor in the genre.
