David Steinberg


“The New York Times” recently included David Steinberg among a handful of the best and most creative directors in television. Steinberg’s directing credits include such critically acclaimed television shows as: “Mad About You,” “Friends,” “Seinfeld,” “Newhart,” “This Is Gary Shandling's Show,” “Golden Girls” and “Designing Women.” Steinberg's work on “Seinfeld” earned him Directors Guild and Emmy Award nominations, and his work on “Mad About You” also earned him a Director's Guild Award nomination. In addition to acting and directing, Steinberg has produced all of his own television series and specials and served as an executive producer and writer on “Designing Women.” He has also directed feature films, including “Paternity” with Burt Reynolds, “Going Berserk” with John Candy and “The Wrong Guy” with Jennifer Tilly. Further, an accomplished director of more than 300 commercials, Steinberg has won almost every award in advertising, including two Clio Awards and the prestigious Silver Lion Award at the Cannes International Film Festival. Steinberg’s perceptive comments on the contemporary scene have also made him one of the most popular comedians in the United States.
