Sarah Jessica Parker


Sarah Jessica Parker performed in classical operas and ballets as a child before donning Annie's red dress on Broadway. She later starred as a high school student in the 1982 television sitcom “Square Pegs” and debuted on the big screen in “Somewhere Tomorrow,” “Footloose,” “First Born” and “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” Then, in 1991, Parker starred opposite Steve Martin in the comedy “L.A. Story” and opposite Nicolas Cage in 1992’s “Honeymoon in Vegas.” She followed these films with roles in “Hocus Pocus,” “Striking Distance,” “Ed Wood” and Woody Allen’s “The Sunshine Boys.” She then took an off-Broadway turn playing the role of a dog in “Sylvia,” for which she received critical acclaim from “The New York Times.” Parker's 1996 film efforts included “The First Wives’ Club,” “If Lucy Fell,” “Extreme Measures,” “The Substance of Fire,” “Mars Attacks!” and “'Til There Was You.” At the same time, Parker continued to succeed on Broadway, appearing in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” and “Once Upon a Mattress.” Then, in 1998, Parker’s star became even brighter when she landed the role of Manhattan sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw in the hit HBO series, “Sex and the City,” for which she garnered a 1999 Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Musical or...
