Emmy Award-winning journalist Deborah Norville debuted as “Inside Edition's” new anchor in 1995. Soon after arriving on the set, Norville also took on the roles of field reporting and producing. Prior to her work with “Inside Edition,” Norville was the co-anchor of the CBS newsmagazine, “America Tonight,” where she handled a mixture of investigative reports, breaking news stories and features for the “CBS Evening News.” She also regularly anchored the Sunday edition of the “CBS Evening News.” Norville’s success is attributed to her ability to get to the heart of the story. She is also a skilled interviewer, interviewing such notables as British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, outgoing Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega and his successor, Violetta Chamorro. Before joining CBS News in 1992, Norville hosted the nationally syndicated “Deborah Norville Show,” broadcast to 200 stations over the ABC Radio Network. She also co-hosted NBC's “Today” show after a stint as anchor of NBC “News at Sunrise.” At that time, Norville was the only woman solo-anchoring a daily network newscast.
