Anthony Clark


Anthony Clark, starred in the hit CBS sitcom “Yes Dear,” Anthony Clark has also starred in “Boston Commons” and Touchstone Television’s “Soul Man,” the comedy from the creators of the long-running hit series, “Home Improvement.” Born in Lynchburg Virginia, Anthony Clark moved to Boston to study acting at Emerson College where he was exposed to the same comedy traditions that have influenced Jay Leno, Norman Lear, and Steven Wright. Anthony Clark’s honest, blue-collar brand of humor, earnest manner, and innate ability to tap into the comedy of Main Street USA and its denizens, won him the “College Entertainer of the Year” award while at Emerson. He uses the contrast between his city and country life backgrounds as the basis of his comic portrayals. He allows the audience to find the humor in themselves and their idiosyncrasies, without talking down to them. Other television credits include appearances on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “The Rose O’Donnell Show,” the 1995 HBO Young Comedians Special, hosted by Gary Shandling, and “The Stand Up Show” on the BBC.
