Amanda Weir

At the 2004 Summer Olympics, Weir swam the third leg in the US team for the Women's 4x100m freestyle relay. Leading after her leg of the relay, the US team went on to set an American Record and earned a Silver medal. Amanda won a second silver medal in the 4 X 100 Medley Relay. At the 2006 ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championship, Weir shattered the American record in the 100 m freestyle with a time of 53.58 making her a favorite for Gold in Beijing. Amanda is also one of the top 50 and 200 freestylers in the world. Expect multiple medals from Amanda when 2008 rolls around. Amanda’s accomplishments include: 2 Time Olympic Silver Medalist, American Record Holder, 3 Time National Champion, and the 2006 Pan Pacific Games Silver Medalist. At only 18 years of age at her first Olympics, Amanda started young. She is signed to a long-term contract with apparel company TYR and looks to compete for many years to come. Amanda aspires to be a designer one day and is currently working closely with the TYR design department for unparrelled professional experience. Amanda is always a threat for multiple medals at any international competition and could be one of the most medaled female athletes of all time when it is all said and done.
