Amy Sohn is a contributing editor at New York Magazine, where she writes regularly about sex, relationships and parenting. Her introduction to the Manhattan media world was her three-year autobiographical Female Trouble column in New York Press, which elicited loads of bitter invective from readers and shamed her parents at cocktail parties. Her first novel, Run Catch Kiss (Simon & Schuster) came out in 1999 and has been published in Japanese, German, Spanish, and Russian. The New York Times wrote, “There is something about her career that suggests a mini-Zeitgeist and Run Catch Kiss is a good emblem of it.” Her second novel, My Old Man (Simon & Schuster), came out in 2004 to wide acclaim.
Amy's non-fiction books include the New York Times bestselling companion guide to television's Sex and the City, Sex and the City: Kiss and Tell (Pocket Books), which has sold over 500,000 copies, and Desperate Housewives: Behind Closed Doors (Hyperion), which came out in 2005.
